Ut Oh! I Got A Water Stain What Do I Do?

Don't panic, don't sand it, don't put any harsh chemicals on it!WaterStain

The solution may be just as far away as your kitchen. Try pouring some salt all around the issued spot and let it stand for a bit.

SaltBeing that salt retains moisture, it has been known to pull the water back out of the wood and/or clear coat

IronAnother way to remove white water stains from wood is to use a hot iron on a smoothly-textured, lint-free cloth placed over the stain, iron very briefly (seconds) on a medium setting, lift the cloth, and repeat until stain is gone.

In some cases, you may also need to lightly sand the area with a fine sanding block. You can find these fine sanding blocks at Home Depot, Lowes or other home improvement locations.

If you need to sand, move it in the direction of the wood grain. Do not sand diagonally or in circular motion.

Hope this helps!
